Growing up in an area of London where gun and knife crime were a way of life, Omar became involved in a gang when he was 16 years old. But when three of his friends died as a result of knife crime, it was a horrifying wake-up call and Omar knew things needed to change. After being homeless at 18 and facing horrific life adversities Omar decided he needed to leave London and start somewhere fresh.
So he ditched the street life and all that came with it to embark on a journey with the sole mission of making something of himself. Omar moved to The Midlands, got married and started a family. His new responsibilities gave him the drive to want to achieve more, not just for himself but for his family.
